Karen Kaplowitz is President of The New Ellis Group, a business development consulting firm specializing in business development
strategy, training and coaching for law firms and other professional
service providers.

Karen Kaplowitz founded The New Ellis Group in 1997, after a 25-year career as a highly respected trial lawyer in Los Angeles. As a member of the California Bar, Karen was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for over a decade. While a practicing attorney, Karen was active in the legal community, serving as president of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, www.abtl.org, and Chair of the American Bar Association’s Employer-Employee Relations Committee of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section.
